If you’re a fan of Infernity or are looking for a fun and powerful deck to climb the ladder with, this guide is for you!
Skill
First, let's take a look at the 2 most used skills when playing Infernity.
Shell of a Ghost (Skill Card) (80%)

Shell of a Ghost (Skill Card)
ATK:
0
DEF:
0
Can be used if you have 0 cards in your hand and you only control "Infernity" monsters. You can take 1 "Infernity Launcher" from your Deck and place it at the top of your Deck. Then place 1 "Infernity Launcher" from outside your Deck at the bottom of your Deck. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
Fleeting Hand (Skill Card) (20%)

Fleeting Hand (Skill Card)
ATK:
0
DEF:
0
Can be used when your Life points are at least 2000 less than the opponent's. Return 1 to 3 cards from your hand to your Deck. Then, apply 1 of the following effects, depending on the number of cards you returned: 1 Card: Place 1 'Infernity Archfiend' on top of your Deck from outside of your Deck. 2 Cards: Play 1 'Infernity Necromancer' from outside of your Deck. 3 Cards: Play 1 'Infernity Launcher' face-up from outside of your Deck. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
Fleeting Hand , a powerful and fun playstyle, uses the ability to summon Infernity Necromancer , place Infernity Archfiend on top of the deck, or place Infernity Launcher (from outside the deck) on the field when your life points are 2000 points lower than your opponent's.
The Infernity Cards
Infernity Archfiend (x1-2)

Infernity Archfiend
ATK:
1800
DEF:
1200
When you draw this card, if you have no other cards in your hand: You can reveal this card; Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Infernity" card from your Deck to your hand. You must have no cards in your hand to activate and to resolve this effect.
The ace card, dubbed the "patron saint" of Infernity , Infernity Archfiend is a powerful monster that helps search for other Infernity cards from the deck when special summoned.
Odds : Playing two copies is optimal in a 20 card deck. Three copies can cause bricking, as drawing that many cards at once does not provide an advantage. If you are using a larger deck (over 20 cards), three copies can be considered, but in the Duel Links format, two copies is the best option.
Infernity Necromancer (x1-2)

Infernity Necromancer
ATK:
0
DEF:
2000
When this card is Normal Summoned, it is changed to Defense Position. If you have no cards in your hand, this card gains the following effect: Once per turn, you can select 1 "Infernity" monster in your Graveyard, except "Infernity Necromancer", and Special Summon it.
Next, we have the Archfiend's best friend: Infernity Necromancer . The odds for this card are one to two copies, and it's recommended that you play two copies because if you draw it with Infernity Sage and Transmodify , you'll get bricked.
Because if not, what will you transform Sage into? Infernity Wildcat ? That's not a playable combo =)). If you happen to draw it in your opening hand, you still have a copy in your deck to use the Sage combo with Transmodify , which is the strongest combo. It's also possible that turns with two Necromancers to extend the combo are really necessary, so play two Necromancers to be safe.
* As for Fleeting Hand : thanks to the Fleeting Hand skill, you can summon it directly from nowhere, so it usually doesn't need to be played in the deck. If you use Transmodify , you can play one copy to take advantage of the combo, but if you focus on Downbeat , play 0 copies to optimize deck space.
Infernity Sage (x3)

Infernity Sage
ATK:
400
DEF:
800
During your Main Phase: You can discard your entire hand. If this card is sent to the GY: You can send 1 "Infernity" monster from your Deck to the GY. You must have no cards in your hand to activate and to resolve this effect. You can only use each effect of "Infernity Sage" once per turn.
Next up is Infernity Sage . You have to play this card at three, you want to draw it. And with Launcher back at three, drawing it along with Launcher and of course Transmodify is extremely good. You really need to draw this card in your hand. It can discard your entire hand, and when it goes to the graveyard, it discards another Infernity monster . Of course, this is your main Tuner for Trishula plays . Play this card at three, no less.
Infernity Wildcat (x1-2)

Infernity Wildcat
ATK:
1400
DEF:
0
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by sending 1 other "Infernity" monster in your hand to the GY. You can only Special Summon "Infernity Wildcat" once per turn this way. While you have no cards in your hand: You can banish 1 "Infernity" monster from your GY; increase or decrease the Level of this card by 1 until the end of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Infernity Wildcat" once per turn.
Next up is our pet, Infernity Wildcat .
- Role : Wildcat supports combos by sending Infernity cards to the graveyard and can be special summoned from the hand or graveyard.
- Odds : Two copies are the optimal choice in a 20-card deck. Three copies can be played in larger decks, but in the Duel Links format, drawing multiple copies at once reduces the effectiveness. Two copies ensures you don't have problems drawing multiple copies in your opening hand, and you can send one to the graveyard with the other to trigger a combo.
Infernity Launcher (x3)

Infernity Launcher
Once per turn: You can send 1 "Infernity" monster from your hand to the Graveyard. You can send this card to the Graveyard, then target up to 2 "Infernity" monsters in your Graveyard; Special Summon them. You must have no cards in your hand to activate and to resolve this effect.
- Role : The deck's most important card, Launcher is a combo extender and turn starter. It allows Infernity monsters to be revived from the graveyard and has no turn limit, making it a powerful version of Soul Charge .
- Odds : Play three copies, no question. With Launcher back in unlimited, you want to draw this card in every hand to maximize combos. Paired with Sage and Archfiend , it makes for explosive plays.
Infernity Barrier (x1)
Counter Trap card, Searchable, All-round Negate. This is one of the best Trap archetype cards ever created in the entire history of Yu-gi-oh!.
We'll probably never see Konami release more Barriers in Duel Links, because you know, imagine a field with two or three Barriers in Duel Links, that would be crazy. So let's play one because we can only play one. We'll probably never see more Barriers , but who knows. But for now, of course we can only play one, let's play one. Yes, it's a level 40 reward for Kallen, but serious players probably already have it. Barrier is so badass, you have to play it.
Infernity Break (x1-2)
- Role : Trap destroy card, helps remove threats on the opponent's field. Its cost when we play a full combo is almost zero because we can banish even the excess Infernity Spell/Trap in the graveyard.
- Odds : Recommended to play one or two copies. If you don't have an Extra Deck monster to deal with Nibiru, the Primal Being (like Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon or Herald of the Arc Light ), play two Breaks and one Barrier . If you have Extra Deck cards against Nibiru , replace one Break with Infernity Suppression to deal with a hand trap that is activated at the wrong time.
Infernity Suppression (x1)

Infernity Suppression
If you have no cards in your hand, you can activate this card the turn it was Set. When your opponent activates a monster effect while you control an "Infernity" monster: Negate the effect, then, you can inflict damage to your opponent equal to the activating monster's Level x 100. You can only activate 1 "Infernity Suppression" per turn.
- Role : A Trap card that specializes in countering Nibiru, the Primal Being , and other poorly timed trap hands. It shines in Duel Links, especially in lower ranks where players often use trap hands at the wrong time.
- Ratios : Only play one copy if you don't have an Extra Deck monster like Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon or Herald of the Arc Light to counter Nibiru . If you do have these Extra Deck cards, prioritize two Breaks and one Barrier . Experiment to find the ratio that suits your playstyle, as Suppression isn't as effective in the TCG/OCG.
Infernity Conjurer, Infernity Mirage and Infernity Patriarch (x0-1)

Infernity Conjurer
ATK:
1200
DEF:
900
While you have no cards in your hand, monsters your opponent controls lose 800 ATK. While you have no cards in your hand and this card is in your GY: You can Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use this effect of "Infernity Conjurer" once per turn.

Infernity Patriarch
ATK:
1000
DEF:
2000
If this is the only card in your hand, you can Special Summon it (from your hand). You can only Special Summon "Infernity Patriarch" once per turn this way. While you have no cards in your hand, if an "Infernity" monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead.
With three Launchers , these cards are unnecessary in Shelf of a Ghost .
Infernity Destroyer and Infernity Archer (x0)
Only used in DDD variant with Wave King Caesar for extra 6 star monsters, but generally not needed.
Infernity Doom Dragon and Infernity Doom Archfiend (x0-1)

Infernity Doom Dragon
ATK:
3000
DEF:
2400
1 DARK Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Once per turn, if you have no cards in your hand, you can select 1 monster your opponent controls. Destroy that monster and inflict damage to your opponent equal to half its ATK. This card cannot attack during the same turn you activate this effect.

Infernity Doom Archfiend
ATK:
2200
DEF:
1600
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up card on the field; negate its effects (until the end of this turn), then if you have no cards in your hand, you can destroy it. While you have no cards in your hand, if this card battles an opponent's monster, any battle damage this card inflicts to your opponent is doubled. A DARK Synchro Monster that was Summoned using this card as material can make up to 2 attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase.
2 Extra Deck cards from Infernity, quite good when going later, can be revived with Launcher .
Staples
Along with the Infernity cards , the deck needs Staples cards to increase consistency and the ability to deal with the current meta. Here are the main options:
Transmodify (x3)
Into the Void (x0-3)
Increases draw and stability, especially when you need to empty your hand (but emptying your hand in Endphase is usually too slow, you won't survive the next turn).
World Legacy Succession (x0-1)
Mystical Space Typhoon (x0-2)
- Great card to go later to deal with backrow. However, in the current meta, Forbidden Droplet or Dark Ruler No More are usually better.
Downbeat (x1-2)
Only used in Fleeting Hand variant with Mirage , not needed in Shelf Ghost .
Garbage Lord (x3 )
The core card in the Fleeting Hand variant , which activates the ability by losing life points. Play three copies to ensure you draw the opening card. Otherwise, put it in Shell of a Ghost.
Sangan (x1-2 Fleeting Hand)
Normal summon Sangan , activate Downbeat to summon Infernity Sage , then add Garbage Lord to your hand. Playing two copies is optimal.
Tour Guide From the Underworld (x0-2 Fleeting Hand)
Sangan summoning support , but not required. Play 1-2 copies if needed.
Fiendish Rhino Warrior (x0-1)

Fiendish Rhino Warrior
ATK:
1400
DEF:
900
Fiend monsters you control, except "Fiendish Rhino Warrior", cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. If this card is sent to the GY: You can send 1 Fiend monster from your Deck to the GY, except "Fiendish Rhino Warrior". You can only use this effect of "Fiendish Rhino Warrior" once per turn.
Send Infernity monsters to the graveyard, but Sangan is usually better.
Extra Deck
First I will talk about the mandatory Extra cards, the remaining extra cards depending on the build I will focus on later.
Trishula Dragon of the Ice Barrier (x1)
Mandatory, is the main target of the Infernity combo , helping to destroy the opponent's field.

Required to summon Crystal Wing and Herald, the ability to level up and be Link 2 is the stepping stone to many combos
